Curves of Learning
Learning involves acquisition (improvement) or material, Acquisition is not sudden. It progresses steadily and sometimes acquisition and learning both go side by side. All these activities acquisition, retention and forgetting can be measured graphically. Graphic representation of the progress and rate learning, rate of learning, rate of forgetting and retention are termed as learning curves.
Important of Learning curves in Education:
1. They give a rough generalization of the rate of progress.
2. Helps to teacher to know where his students as regards the progress in learning.
3. It helps teacher to know which difficulty is faced by the student and why the progress is blocked. So that it can be removed by the teacher and teaching can be adjusted accordingly.
