1. Give one ploughing 2-3 harrowing and prepare loose seed bed.
2. Seeds are treated with thiram or bavistin @ 2 gm/kg seed and rhizobium inoculants @ 250 kg/15 kg seed.
3. Sowing is done in rabi season.
4. Sowing time is October – November.
5. Seed rate is 25 – 30 kg/ha.
6. Spacing is 30 x 10 cm.
7. The dose of manure is 3 to 5 tons FYM and 20 to 25kg P2O5/ha.
8. Irrigation at pod formation and seed development stage is needed.
9. One to two hoeing and one weeding is given at 15 days interval essential.
