Crop Rotation in Tobacco Cultivation
1. Tobacco is sensitive to the effects of preceding crop so, usually grown as monoculture crop.
2. It can be grown year after year on same land without affecting yield and quality.
3. No systematic rotation has been followed.
i) Tobacco – Ragi
ii) Tobacco – Potato
iii) Groundnut – Jawar – Fallow – Tobacco.
