The Agricultural University of Tamil Nadu Receives Three National Awards

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, received three national awards, including the Green Campus Award, at the meeting of the Vice-Chancellors of the Agricultural Research Council of India and the States Agricultural Universities in Delhi.

Award for Researching Various Data

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research announced the Green and Purity Campus competition in October 2020 as part of its National Higher Education Program. For studying a variety of subjects, including waste recycling, alternative sources of energy, use of environmentally friendly materials, lessons, or research projects, it is given this award.

In this, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University students have won two prizes in the All India Level Competitive Examination for Masters Students under the Departments of Horticulture, Forestry, and Agricultural Engineering.

Vice-Chancellor Receives Three Awards

Vice-Chancellor received the three awards at the meeting. The university has won the ‘Green and Clean Campus Award’, the ‘PG Fellowship Award for Horticulture & Forestry’, and the ‘PG Fellowship in Agricultural Engineering’.

ICAR Establishes Green & Clean Campus Award

For the first time, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research has launched the ‘Green and Clean Campus Award’ for colleges under state agricultural universities as well as educational institutions under its supervision.

The ‘Green and Clean Campus Award’ is a place where eco-friendly practices are followed and taught to promote a sustainable environment on campus. The College of Agriculture and Research, University College, has won the Second Prize of Rs. 8 lakh cash.
